SMCL gets Star Award from TESDA

Saint Michael's College of Laguna became the first private technical vocational institution in Calabarzon to be certified with a star rating by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.

Tesda awarded a one star rating to SMCL for its Bread and Pastry Production NC II program. The ceremony was held at Crowne Plaza Manila, Oct. 27.

The Star Award is given to a technical-vocational training provider that passed the threshold of candidate status during the certification visit.

SMCL met the minimum threshold of competency-based training program delivery and program performance measures.

SMCL President Dr. Lourdes Almeda-Sese and Polytechnic Courses Dept. Head Mrs. Ma. Linda D. Pio received the Star Award in behalf of SMCL.

The certification was valid for one year.
