SMCL ICS wins in iSITE student research tilts

Students from the Institute of Computer Studies received three awards for their researches during the 2nd Regional IT Competitions and Research Conference and Presentation, March 13.

The Michaeleans' research entitled "QSearch: A question bank decision support system using query expansion algorithm" won Best Thesis.

Meanwhile, another research, "Decal: Data mining clustering technique with report customization," was awarded second place.

On the other hand, the group of "Kaijento: An artificial intelligence mobile game application using Minimax algorithm" was recognized 2nd Best Presenter.

Integrated Southern Tagalog Association of IT Education, a group of IT educators from the Calabarzon region, sponsored the event that was held at University of Perpetual Help System - Jonelta, Biñan Campus.

Dr. Anna Liza Ramos served as the teams' advisor.

SMCL unveils 10% promo

SMCL announced that students who enroll for the next academic year are qualified to receive 10% discount (off tuition fees) if they pay in full.

The rebate is available for students in pre-school, grade school, high school, and college.

Promo is until April 30, 2017.

SMCL offers scholarship grants for SHS and JHS

Saint Michael's College of Laguna announced that scholarships for junior high school and senior high school will be offered for the next school year, 2017-2018.

The President's Scholarship Grant for Senior High School is open for incoming Grade 11 students who have 85% and above general average. Bona fide students qualify for the competitive examinations to be held at SMCL.

Meanwhile, incoming Grade 7 students who have 85% and above general average may take the Limaco Scholarship Test. Passers will be given the Limaco Scholarship Grant for Junior High School.

These grants are open for both public and private school completers of Grade 6 (for JHS) and Grade 10 (for SHS). See graphic above for raw scores and corresponding scholarships available.

Enroll at SMCL Senior HS for only P750 monthly

Saint Michael's College of Laguna now offers Senior High School at a low rate of P750 per month for first semester, academic year 2017-2018.

This offer applies to Grade 10 completers of Biñan Public Junior High Schools and recipients of the local government voucher.

Enrollees should also be from the upper 20% of the graduating class.

No tuition fee increase for next school year

There will be no tuition fee hike at Saint Michael's College of Laguna this coming academic year 2017-2018, according to the management.

True to the mission of the College, SMCL will continue to provide quality education to learners while making it accessible and affordable.

In 2016, SMCL inked an agreement to host select graduate programs for Technological Institute of the Philippines and Jose Rizal University.
