DepEd OKs SMCL Senior High offering

Department of Education CALABARZON approved on March 31 the application of Saint Michael’s College of Laguna (SMCL) to offer Senior High School (SHS) next year.

Said permit granted SMCL to open the new curriculum in Academic Year 2016-2017.

Jocelyn Andaya, Chair of the Senior High School–National Task Force/Director III sent the approval letter.

SMCL was permitted to offer the Academic Track with Accountancy and Business Management (ABM), Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), and Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMMS).

Junior High School Principal Emily A. Almendral reported that the current Grade 10 Michaeleans were grouped according to their choice of track. There are three (3) STEM sections, two (2) ABM and 1 combination of Sports and HUMMS.
