Z Club wins its 7th international award

Winner for the seventh time!

Z Club of Laguna (ZCL), an organization of high school girls at Saint Michael’s College of Laguna, won its seventh international award for 2014-2015.

ZCL placed second in the 2015 Zonta International (ZI) Emma L. Conlon Service Award.
ZCL won for projects depicting the ideals of Zonta, an international organization of women in business.

Formed in 2001, ZCL was sponsored by Zonta Club of Laguna.

ZCL’s projects were categorized as School Service, Community Service and International Service.
Under School Service, the Club had the Leaders’ Hub, Health Alert on MERS COV and “Waste Not, Throw Not, Burn Not” Campaign.

For its Community service, Z Club members had the Street Markers, Buntis Fair and Literacy sessions for the mothers of Sitio Balimbing.

For International Service, they had the Anti-Violence against Women-16 Days of Activism, He for She and Global Trust for Sustainable Living.

Zonta District 17 Governor Lalivan Karnchanachari and ZI president-elect Sonja Hönig Schough conferred the award in the 1st Golden Z Convention held at InterContinental Hotel, in Bangkok, Thailand, Sept. 20.
