SMCL joins Laguna shake drill

Students, staff, and faculty members participated in the Laguna Shake Drill, Sept. 8.

Said earthquake drill was conducted in preparation of disasters, especially after news on the faultline that runs through Biñan broke out, according to Director Apollinaris V. Castelltort, Environment/Pollution Control Officer.

At 10:30 am, the bell rang, signalling a mock earthquake.

Everyone did the duck, cover and hold on.

Boy Scouts assisted the students towards the Rogelio Limaco Park which serves as the evacuation area.

Mr. Castelltort thanked everyone for his/her cooperation.

The Shake Drill was conducted to alert and inform everyone about possible earthquakes.
