Michaelean volunteers teach graphic design to out-of-school youth in Balimbing

A group of volunteers from the Institute of Computer Studies had an introductory session to digital poster graphic design to out-of-school youth in Sitio Balimbing, SMCL's adopted community, on Feb 17.

Members of the Computer Science Society delivered a lecture and a workshop on the use of Photoshop in designing posters. They convened at the Milagros L. Limaco Community Center in Balimbing, Barangay San Antonio in Biñan.

Volunteers believe that if attendees were given the right tools, they would be able to extend their knowledge or even work part-time in small printing businesses in the district.

The session was one of the projects under the College's HEAL Program (Empowerment thru Education and Livelihood Opportunities).

Dr. Anna Liza Ramos currently heads the Institute.
