Michaelean faculty present researches in New York
Faculty members cum administrators presented their researches in a Filipino American teachers' conference in New York.
VP for Academics and Research Dr. Maria Regina Milagros Manabat and Director for Student Services Ms. Inecita Cuevas represented SMCL in the International Research and Education Conference held at 4 West 43rd St., New York City on Oct. 27-31.
Both researches also served as session chairs during the paper presentations.
Dr. Manabat presented her research entitled "What drives the formation of “valuable” Academe - Industry Partnership: The case of HEIs and Companies in the CALABARZON," co-authored with Research Director Dr. Socorro Rodriguez and SMCL President Dr. Lourdes Almeda-Sese.
Said research was produced in part with the assistance of the Commission on Higher Education.
Ms. Cuevas presented "Critical Thinking Skills in Senior High School English Core Subjects" co-authored with faculty member T-Jay Medina.
The conference was sponsored by the Association of Filipino Teachers in Eastern America (AFTEA). SMCL alumnus Dr. Eleuterio Timbol, Jr. served as chair.
