SMCL gets Star Award from TESDA
Saint Michael's College of Laguna became the first private technical vocational institution in Calabarzon to be certified with a star rating by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.
Tesda awarded a one star rating to SMCL for its Bread and Pastry Production NC II program. The ceremony was held at Crowne Plaza Manila, Oct. 27.
The Star Award is given to a technical-vocational training provider that passed the threshold of candidate status during the certification visit.
SMCL met the minimum threshold of competency-based training program delivery and program performance measures.
SMCL President Dr. Lourdes Almeda-Sese and Polytechnic Courses Dept. Head Mrs. Ma. Linda D. Pio received the Star Award in behalf of SMCL.
The certification was valid for one year.
